Modoc County: Wide-Open Northeastern California

Modoc County is for people who want space and quiet. Alturas, the county seat, has the essentials, and the rest of the county is ranch land, high desert and mountain views. Most properties here are rural homes, acreage and working ranches, with some homes in town. Buyers come for the land, the value and a slower, self-reliant way of life. Out here, water, access and outbuildings matter as much as the house, and that's where my rural and horse property background helps.
